Pivot Revenue Summit 2023 Recap

We recently held our first ever Pivot Revenue Summit (AKA RevPARty 2023) at the corporate office in Atlanta, hosting 19 of our incredible Revenue Leaders from hotels and resorts across the country. In a three-day span, attendees participated in 20 sessions on topics ranging from:
• Channel Management
• Owner relationships and business development
• Collaboration with Marketing including best practices.
• Mining for Transient business in the Global Distribution Systems
• Understanding the connection between revenue and costs
• Forecast accuracy best practices.
• Food and Beverage pricing and trends
• Building financial acumen
• …and in the spirit of healthy competition, 18 holes of mini golf!
We welcomed a number of top-tier third party partners to share their wealth of knowledge with the team, including Amadeus, Expedia.com, and Booking.com.
What were the key takeaways from the group?
• Collectively, attendees enjoyed being able to connect with their peers and Davidson steering team members in person and found the time together very beneficial– learned a lot of best practices from each other, the experience overall strengthened/broadened their professional support network.
• An appreciation for our sense of family: Davidson culture permeated throughout! The invaluable fostering of meaningful relationships with peers and corporate team members that will always have your back.
• A palpable excitement to implement everything that they learned! Attendees felt prepared to go back to property with inspiration from the lifestyle vibes at Bellyard Atlanta, practical tips and resources and felt clearer about specific Davidson SOPs, partner platforms, and more.
An overall understanding of how Revenue Management is evolving into Profit Optimization. The team not only focused on strategies to grow room revenue but drive ancillary spend and ultimately incremental profit for the business.
