Davidson’s Women in Leadership Development (WILD) program was founded in 2019 as a resource for Davidson women to gain the mentorship, skills and personalized development they need to progress in their careers. WILD’s objectives include investing in high-potential women, increasing female team member engagement, building a spirit of collaboration and increasing effectiveness of female leaders to maximize their reach. Over the years, WILD has hosted a number of training and small group sessions to drive professional development as well as social session to foster relationship building. Most recently WILD hosted an interactive and education session on “Where are you at in your Leadership Journey” for our corporate female team members. One of the original goals of WILD was to expand our efforts to include our female hotel leaders. We are proud to announce that Margaritaville Hollywood Beach has started our first local WILD chapter using some of the materials from our past corporate WILD sessions. In an effort to continue to expand to our hotels, last month WILD was honored and thrilled to have Hall of Fame speaker Marilyn Sherman join a combined WILD session for our hotel and corporate leaders where she motivated and inspired us and offered practical advice on Front Row Success. We are excited to head to Chicago in April with thirty amazing women from our hotels and corporate office for AHLA’s annual conference, ForWard, advancing women in hospitality.
